Hello and welcome to the website. This is my first year teaching at Highland Elementary, but my fifth year in the EBR District. The students call me Ms. Van B. For the past four years, I have taught a Self-Contained Autistic class. This year I have a Self-Contained class of 8 students, ranging from grades K-5. Some of our students go out to the Regular Ed classes for Reading Block (9:00am-11:00am) and other subjects. We also welcome one student from the 3rd grade into our classroom for the Reading Block. We are enjoying a great year so far!
